The wolverine bar association primary exempt purpose is to enter into closer relations with the michigan state bar and other bar associations in the state of michigan and other states; to exert greater influence among the legal profession and upon the life of the community; to build and inspire full confidence in the general public in the ability and intergrity of those members in the practice of their profession; the promotion of reform in law; and the facilitation of the administration of justice. The program services were to promote the following: 1) scholarship to students for purposes of federal externships , and sponosr students entering into law school. 2) advocay competition: wba presents the annual martin luther king, jr. Drum major for justice advocacy competition; 3) summer clerkship, judicial externship programs, and school scholarships; 4) membership. The organization has more than 145 members; and 5) host and sponsor the annual barristers ball.
