Causes

Programs

Yoga east provided 3,302 classes and workshop sessions. Total student attendance was 30,269. 416 classes were free or low cost classes ($5 or $10) attended by 1935 students. 529 students attended class without charge. Our students include children, teens, frail elderly, and students with ms, cancer and other physical restrictions. No student is turned away for inability to pay fees. Yoga east gave free or low cost yoga classes and provided information on yoga and wellness to several other non-profit organizations including oak and acorn community center, fern creek community center, st. Peter claver center for the louisville housing authority, st. Stephen martyr church annual health fair, aarp (yoga for caregivers), and ballard high school girls lacrosse team. Our teacher training program trained seven new yoga alliance ryt 200 teachers, one of whom attended on a scholarship. We created a new psychotherapists teacher training program and trained six licensed therapists to teach trauma-sensitive yoga. This group include five licensed therapists for the kentucky juvenile justice department being trained to teach trauma-sensitive yoga to youth in both residential and day programs in the kentucky juvenile justice system. These five individuals attended through a grant from the university of kentucky center for trauma and children.
