To strive to promote programs on issues that impact the business community.
In relation to the chamber's education objectives, the chamber held four major breakfast events and ten seminars for the members. In relation to the chamber's networking objectives, the chamber held ten lunch events, twelve after-hour networking events and a golf outing. Also, the chamber maintained three leads groups, a non-profit forum, a large business owners forum, and a small business owners forum. Each forum met on a monthly basis and leads groups met on a weekly basis. In relation to the chamber's business promotion objectives, the chambers online business directory averaged over 2,000 hits per month, published and distributed a membership directory to 13,000 local addresses, participated in a large business-to-business exposition and conducted thirty-two ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses. In relation to the chamber's civic objectives, the chamber held an annual citizen of the year ceremony, co-produced the windmill city festival, gathered over $1,600 in gifts to the local holiday toy dirve, promoted over 150 community events through an online community calendar, and distributed online flyers to member businesses for over 20 non-profit events. The chamber also partnered with the batavia park district to co-produce the state championship chili cook-off. The chamber honored a chamber member for their outstanding contributions to the community at an annual harvest celebration. The chamber partnered with the city of batavia and batavia mainstreet to promote restaurant madness week to promote dining in the community. Other activities the chamber was involved in consisted of responding to business and families considering moving to the area, responding to other information requests, local business referrals, and supporting the city's economic development efforts.
