This year was the formation of the william e hixson foundation. Looking toward the future, we will support organizations who support communities between the san francisco bay area and reno, nv and that are focused on inspiring learning and bringing productive change in one of three areas: improving math engagement and students' sense of potential in elementary school, providing exchange opportunities to high school students who have only had a chance to experience their own community's culture, and testing new strategies for building a bridge to success between high school and career for students who aren't well-served by the 4-year academic path.
