The balboa spirit club is organized to provide financial support and staffing support for balboa magnet school, in the expectation of providing a exceptional educational environment for the students.

The club raises funds for the benefit of a public school by organizing events, sales of supermarket scrip, and other fundraising endeavors, and by soliciting contributions from the public. The club then uses the funds to enrich the school environment and enhance the educational process. This year a computer teacher, a p e coach, and teaching assistants were provided to the school.
