YCCC was founded by a group of parents who wanted a home-like environment for their young adult children who had been diagnosed with mental illness too severe to be cared for at home. The services developed by YCCC have become a statewide model of mental health care. It is estimated that one in ten families will be touched by a form of mental illness. Today, YCCC continues to develop innovative services in response to community need.
