Art Feeds

Mission

Art feeds exists to mobilize creative healing and encourage creative development in children. We are a mobile arts center and community of individuals dedicated to the growth and healing of children through art. Art feeds is based out of joplin, mo and conducts mobile programs with schools and after school programs on a consistent basis with elementary students who have undergone trauma and overcome obstacles in joplin, missouri. The programs use therapeutic art and creative education that comes free of cost to the participating students and schools.

Programs

These expenses were incured through providing therapeutic art and creative education programs to 2,000 children in joplin, missouri weekly in 2013. Art feeds services provide students in the program with an art pack that contains all the basic materials needed for creation: glue, scissors, a sketchbook, watercolors, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, and colored pencils. Art feeds also provides material specific to each weekly lesson. Students could be dancing, drawing, scultping, or acting - art feeds is prepared with additional matierals each week. This expense category also contains travel expense to and from the schools, volunteer expenses, community outreach, and other expenses that relate directly to providing therapeutic art and creative education to the studnets in art feeds programs.
