The organization provides local leadership required for developing and carrying out a plan for services to the elderly and thereby improve the social and economic status of older adults.

This is done through three primary functions (1) to coordinate activities of existing agencies which relate to the social and economic conditions of the older adults in the city of winslow, (2) to assist in the establishment of new activities and services when needed and to initiate the procurement of funds for such activities and services and (3) to serve older persons as a resource center in obtaining needed services.
