Williamson health and wellness center, inc. (the center) is a nonstock, nonprofit organization providing a community health center and public health/community care to clients in southern west virginia, primarily in mingo county. The center's primary mission is to create an innovative culture of health that accelerates growth throughout rural communities.

The center operates a federally qualified health center (fqhc) in williamson, west virginia. The goal of the community health center program is to provide all residents of mingo and surrounding counties the opportunity to establish a medical home regardless of income. Community health centers ensure that everyone has access to preventative care and can see a health care provider when they are sick. The clinic provides a full range of primary care services, such as treatment and management of acute and chronic illness, pediatric and adolescent care, physical exams, women's health, immunizations, dental care, assistance with prescriptions and behavioral health services, for people of all ages, income levels, and insurance statuses. Furthermore, the center is part of the south eastern diabetes initiative (sedi). The sedi is a research group founded by duke university focusing on preventing and managing type ii diabetes by promoting healthy eating practices, exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes. The diabetes coalition aims to increase access to healthy eating, active living and to spur health innovation and entrepreneurship, in an effort to keep the general population healthy, employed, and self-sustaining.
