The catholic religious communities and health ministries which formed ghpi and whose charitable missions ghpi continues to support have charged the organization with furthering their missions of spiritually-centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. Toward that end, in 2016, the organization transferred international activities and related net assets to its affiliate, ascension health global mission. Ascension health global mission is a catholic health ministry that serves international efforts that improve healthcare quality and living status for poor and vulnerable populations. And the filing organization began the initial planning related to adjusting our focus away from international initiatives and toward continuing our catholic healthcare mission by working to improve the health status of our communities, make healthcare more affordable through effective care coordination and management, and collaborate with affiliates to respond to the healthcare needs of large populations.
