The mission of AFTA is to promote the wider adoption of agroforestry by landowners in temperate regions of North America. Agroforestry practices combine trees and shrubs with crops and/or livestock to increase and diversify farm and forest production while conserving natural resources. AFTA pursues its mission through activities such as networking, information exchange, and policy development.
