The pcia foundation encourages and promotes education and research in the wireless communications industry. In 2014, this mission was pursued through a contract with a non-profit organization specializing in workforce development which assisted a historically black college and university to apply for and obtain a $3. 5 million dollar grant from the department of labor to establish an education and training program in wireless infrastructure.
