Word on the street/la voz de los jvenes, an online bilingual arts and culture magazine for youth, led by teens of african and latinx descent, had 8 members of it's founding "squad" graduate from high school. Six entered college in the fall of 2017, one was selected for the tzedek social justice fellowship program to work full time for a latinx community center, and one is working locally and serving on the board of directors for the center for participatory change, a local non-profit.
