Through education, support, advocacy and research, API seeks to strengthen families and increase awareness of the importance of secure attachment, ultimately helping to increase child flourishing and reduce and prevent child abuse, behavioral disorders, criminal acts and other serious social problems.

API trains Leaders around the world, hosts regular support groups, online forums, and parent support, conducts advocacy, research, and outreach programs, provides parenting educator training, parenting education classes, consulting and assistance to parenting groups, hosts the magazine, The Attached Family, and several enewletters, such as API Links, as well as a Journal of research, teleseminars, podcast, book club, AP Month in October, and many other programs.
