The mission of the athens county child advocacy center is to bring to gether already existing disciplines and organizations in a collabora- tive and cohesive manner to respond to child abuse.

Grant from national children's alliance - to provide child and family advocacy services and outreach to the community sisters of saint joseph - to pay for training of sexual abuse nurse. Voca - the victoms of crime act ohio atty gen office grant - to pay 75 % salary of new part time position of a staff member for child & family advocacy. all other funds donated or received by fund raisers are to help with the project's of the above grants. To set up an independant facility ( apart from children services) and help cover cost of supplies and administraitive salaries.
