M*a*s*hprovide grants for supporting and advocating for rural healthcare. M*a*s*h (medical applications of science for health) is a program designed for students interested in a career in the medical field. The two-week camps are free and take place at various locations around the state. This program operates with assistance from baptist health, arkansas blue cross blue shield, arkansas farm bureau federation, and the university of arkansas for medical sciences. A sampling of the activities and experiences offered through the m*a*s*h program:* cpr certification course* suturing class* nursing* er* dentistry and oral health* dissections* sports medicine and casting classstudents who attend the camps are given a unique consider the healthcare industry while shadowing medical professionals. The proceeds for the program are used to finance in excess of 30 mash programs around the state of arkansas that serves in excess of 300 total students. ag in the classroomthe arkansas ag in the classroom program was created to promote awareness of the importance of agriculture to our communities, state, nation, and the world to students in all grade levels. The ag in the classroom program features k-12 classroom materials, garden grants, educational programs, and teacher workshops. This program provides support from the arkansas rice council, arkansas soybean promotion board, and arkansas farm bureau federation. future farmers of americareceive grant income from the arkansas department of career education to provide and oversee professional services (monthly bookkeeping, financial & tax reporting, and annual tax and audit services) to the arkansas future farmers of america association.
