Overnight and day camp programs provide a range of experiences for young people to develop the core values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility while exploring their personal limits, building self-confidence and discovering independence in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Our various outdoor center programs personally enrich more than 12,000 individuals a year. in an effort to support local school districts and families, ymca camp ockanickon, inc. Offers high quality school-age child care for several hundred children a year - both before and after school. Our school's out (so) program curriculum encourages individual development consistent with the y's 4 core values, in addition to developing healthy lifestyle habits and educational achievement. Monthly lessons are planned that allow children to participate in activities such as math, literacy, character development, science, nature, healthy eating and quality homework time. The offerings provide flexibility to a diverse range of families with am/pm options, single-day drop-ins, and 2-5 day options.
