The bellingham festival of music assembled an orchestra of musicians from the major orchestras in north america, many of which hold the principal chair in their home orchestra. In addition, world class guest artists performed with the orchestra. Over a three week period the festival hosted 5 orchestra concerts, two recitals with two of the guest artists, 4 chamber concert events, an educational rehearsal, 2 master classes, and 5 pre-concert lectures. Ten of these events were free for all audience members. Ticket prices for the remaining events were kept at an affordable level.
