Programs

Opening minds through art (oma): we provided 20 weeks of art programming to over 25 seniors and 100 family members using over 6 staff staff and 30 volunteers at st. Mary's woods assisted living facility. We also marketed, planned and conducted one training and certification event for 20 new oma facilitators. children's school based and after school programs: at the carmel school we provided weekly half day art workshops for the full school year involving over 50 students and some teachers. Workshops included painting specific projects and creating paintings from imagination. We used over 8 volunteers in this program. At anna julia cooper episcopal school we provided weekly full day day art programs involving over 50 students using two staff and up to 5 volunteers. In addition, in partnership with th women's prison program: we provided twice monthly half day art classes for up to 8 women per session at the goochland women's correctional facility in goochland county. Over the course of a year, we involved up to 16 women using two staff and up to four volunteers.
