The populations we serve are unable to afford the life-enhancing benefits of art. In our classes these vulnerable populations learn to focus and create art. Depression is lessened and attitudes change from, "I can't to I'll try." Classes build community and lessen isolation. Our mentoring program for the homeless provides extra art supplies, advice on art materials and art scholarships to Montgomery College. AFTP also had public art exhibits of the art from classes.
