Promoting, in all forms, relations among ligurians residing in the region of liguia, italy, and ligurians as well as their descendants wherever residing; promote the study and research of ligurian immigration world-wide; and spread ligurian culture and language, in all its forms both historical and contemporary, to immigrated ligurians and their descendants in order to keep alive ethnic relations.

In 2017 we continued our policy of awarding scholarships pursuant to the recommendation of our scholarship committee which reviews applications from high school seniors spread throughout the local area. The selection criteria are overall excellence plus submittal of an essay on liguria. In 2017, four awardees were selected, and each received a $1,500 scholarship formally awarded at a scholarship dinner. In addition, we gave grants to the following organizations:- italian community services, $1,000 for use in their programs- marin catholic high school, $1,000 to encourage and reward the school for introducing their students to the italian language - red cross, $1,000 for disaster relief
